Malignant Inception was formed in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1992. After a dissatisfying studio session and some lineup changes that followed, M.I. started re-writing the old and writing the new. A year and a half later, after only 10 hours of recording and mixing time, M.I. emerged from the studio with their 11 song debut album entitled "Black Death" (1997 Cassette - Slaughterhouse Records). Malignant Inception's imprint on the world had been made.
An unfortunate 6 year hiatus soon followed. (Black Death was re-released on Cd with updated cover art in 2004.)
In early spring 2003, Malignant Inception again emerged with a breath of fresh air and a new frame of mind. After finding a solid lineup, Malignant Inception went into the studio and created their Second full length album entitled "Path to Repression". With that, an unstoppable force of darkness was set into motion.
Malignant Inception has focused on writing music that is derived from passion and understanding. M.I. writes Extreme Metal blending elements of Death Metal, Black Metal and Progressive metal and do it with style.
With their third album almost complete, Malignant Inception fear no obstacle and this time, have come out with a vengence, showing no sign of slowing.
